Here is a picture of our living room with both the gas heater and the electric heater going. If we close the doors to the other rooms we can get it pretty warm.
We had the missionaries move out of this apartment so we could have it renovated. The were very reluctant. They will like it when they see how it is with new floors and new paint.
This is the bathroom of the apartment. When I took the mirror off the wall there was Emma Smith looking at me.
This is Jackie at 10 PM in a small town looking for a store still open that had toilet paper. Two sister missionaries had just moved into a new apartment and had no toilet paper. One of them had just arrived from her home country of Uruguay.
Jackie has developed carpal tunnel syndrome. I built a second story on her desktop so she could stand at her computer and work. If it looks like a ping pong table it is made from a broken ping pong table. I have since made better risers for it and will post a picture later.
Jackie made the best brownie ice cream cake. The brownie alone was awesome but was even better with good vanilla ice cream.
At 10:30 PM we got a call that 2 missionaries had locked themselves out of their apartment. We took a spare set of keys and told them to go unlock their door and bring back the spare keys. There was some miscommunication because they went in and went to bed. We waited for 10 minutes of more. They are in a 5th floor walk up. Finally we called them and they brought our keys down.
We stopped by Jackies good friend Noras on our way home one night. She is front right in the picture. She was having onsey with her daughter, sister, and sister in law. Onsey is a late, light dinner. Lunch is is late and large. Onsey means 11.
